Gua Sha

Gua Sha is one of the best-kept secrets of East Asian bodywork. Gua means to scrape or rub. Sha is a “reddish, elevated, millet-like skin rush”. These skin changes are only temporary and are located on the back, neck, shoulders, buttocks, limps as well as sometimes on the chest and abdomen. When Gua Sha is used, the skin in the area has to be lubricated with oil first and then rubbed with a round-edged instrument.
